The MLK Youth Center is a non-profit, community based organization that provides quality care in a nurturing environment for children of all ethnic backgrounds.
The Center was chartered on August 22, 1973 and supports Somerset County families and children, aged 5-13, through two essential programs – an After School Program and a Summer Camp program. The Center has a complete library, computer room and certified teachers for each grade level. Children are tutored individually and in small groups. We collaborate with local school administrators to continually enhance our curriculum, especially in the areas of math, reading and language skills.
We serve the Somerset County towns of South Bound Brook, Bound Brook, Manville, Hillsborough, Somerville and Bridgewater.
Rajni Chopra serves as the Executive Director of the Center.
The Martin Luther King Youth Center is a Somerset County United Way Agency.
