The Martin Luther King Youth Center provides After School and Summer Camp programs that serve children, aged 5-13, from the communities of Bridgewater, Manville, Somerville, Bound Brook, South Bound Brook, and the surrounding areas.
The After School Program is our flagship program and operates for the length of the academic school year- from September to June. We provide transportation from local area schools to the Center. Once at the Center, children receive academic tutoring and mentoring. They are then served hot meals before being taken home in the evening.
Our Summer Camp is a ten week program and offers unique learning experiences for our children through sports, computer workshops and field trips. Each year, we are challenged to enroll all interested students because of a long waiting list.
